The next edition of Directors’ Lounge features Naoyuki Miura of the theatre company lolo. Having now reached ten years since lolo was founded, Miura talks about his future approaches as well as the relationship between space and narrative, and his work outside of the theatre.

Playwright, Director
Naoyuki Miura is a playwright, director, and head of the company lolo. His work re-examines the relationships within families and between lovers, creating strange and original versions of the classic boy-meets-girl story. Pop culture references from both East and West fill his work, helping to attract a wide range of fans across different ages and genders. He is also active as a TV drama scriptwriter, music video director, and workshop instructor. Since 2015, his output has included high school theatre.
