Vol.1 Through the Life and Work of Kazuo Ohno, the PE Teacher
Vol.2 Dance as Nation-founding Calisthenics
In Japan, dance is taught as part of physical education. For the purposes of improving their health, students move their bodies nobly, correctly, and beautifully in time to music. The dancer and university educator Saiko Kino, a former junior high and high school health and PE teacher, elucidates the differences between physical education, dance, and sports through a lecture and performance.
