F/T12 Emerging Artists Program: F/T Award Ceremony live streaming
The F/T Emerging Artists Program supports the next generation of young Asian artists and companies to produce their own work. Last year it expanded out into the whole of Asia and for this 2012 program it received 180 applicants from Japan and the rest of the continent, from which a line-up of 11 companies/artists (5 from Japan, 6 from other Asian regions) was chosen.
Following the streaming of last year's event, we will again be streaming live the announcement of the F/T Award, given to the work with the most creative value.

Change to Running Time for "American Dream Factory"
It was previously announced that "American Dream Factory" by Against Again Troupe would last for 90 minutes. The running time has now been changed to 100 minutes.

English Surtitles & Performances for International Audiences
Do you want to see some of the performances at F/T12 but worry about the language barrier?
We often hear this from our international audiences but actually there are plenty of performances with surtitles. There are also many productions that are performed in languages like German or Korean, or are otherwise comprehensible no matter what level your Japanese is.

F/T12 Emerging Artists Program: Withdrawal of Banana Gakuen Theatre Company
Following the situation caused by Banana Gakuen Theatre Company during their recent performances on May 24-27, 2012, the Festival/Tokyo Executive Committee has received a report from the company and, after a great deal of consideration, has judged that the recent situation runs contrary to the standards required of participatory companies, and has decided on the withdrawal of the participation of the company from the F/T12 Emerging Artists Program.
